Introduction in R Programming Part.1

R is a programming language and software environment for statistical computing and graphics. Currently, R have more than 10000 additional packages (Jan 2017) available. According to TIOBE , R is ranked 14. Below is current ranks for Programming Language based on TIOBE ( March 2017 )

  • Installing R & RStudio
  • Installing RStudio Server on Ubuntu Server

WINDOWS 

DEBIAN/UBUNTU 

  • Edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list to add your favorite CRAN repository.

    e.g : deb ftp://ftp.yzu.edu.tw/CRAN/bin/linux/ubuntu xenial/

  • add the corresponding GPG keys to your list of keys:

    gpg –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-key E084DAB9

    gpg -a –export E084DAB9 | sudo apt-key add –

  • reload the package list and install R

    sudo apt-get update

    sudo apt-get install r-base r-base-dev

  • Installing RStudion Server

    sudo apt-get install gdebi-core libapparmor1

    wget https://download2.rstudio.org/rstudio-server-1.0.136-amd64.deb

    sudo gdebi rstudio-server-1.0.136-amd64.deb

  • Your RStudio Server accessible at your.server.ip:8787
